Recently, ZOOMLION’s independently developed series of power batteries successfully passed all tests required by the mandatory national standard GB38031-2025 Safety Requirements for Traction Batteries of Electric Vehicles (hereinafter referred to as the new standard), providing a new solution for safety performance in new energy construction machinery.

The new standard will be officially implemented on July 1, 2026, and sets higher requirements for fire, explosion, and overall safety performance of batteries. For example, in the thermal propagation test, the observation time for thermal runaway is extended from 5 minutes to 2 hours, during which the smoke must not endanger passengers. In the bottom impact test, which simulates batteries being struck by foreign objects on the road, the battery pack must have no leakage, no case rupture, and insulation resistance must remain compliant. In the fast-charging cycle test, batteries supporting 15-minute fast charging must pass 300 cycles of safety verification.

In the first half of 2025, ZOOMLION launched its first pure electric-driven port tire crane, its first five-axle right-hand drive new energy mixer truck, and a 100t hybrid drive-by-wire wide-body mining truck.
