SANY Delivers 1,000-Ton Crawler Crane to Denmark’s BMS, Strengthening European Market Presence
Publication Date: 2026-06-05

SANY Heavy Industry has officially delivered the SCC10000T, a 1,000-ton lattice boom crawler crane, to Danish company BMS at a ceremony held in Huzhou. This marks BMS‘s first-ever 1,000-ton crawler crane acquisition. The equipment will be immediately deployed to European wind power construction sites, supporting the region’s renewable energy expansion.

A Strategic Partnership Built on Deep Collaboration

BMS ranks among the global top three lifting service providers. The strategic partnership between SANY and BMS began in 2024. Over the past two years, BMS has purchased more than 40 units of SANY lifting equipment, including crawler cranes, all-terrain cranes, and rough-terrain cranes—all operating across European job sites. This relationship has evolved beyond standard buyer-supplier transactions into a model of co-creation, where BMS’s on-site feedback directly informs product improvements.

Engineered for European Wind Power Conditions

The SCC10000T was co-developed based on extensive research into European construction scenarios. SANY’s engineering team incorporated BMS‘s professional recommendations to develop a custom 199-meter lifting configuration tailored to next-generation, high-capacity wind turbine installation requirements.

Transportation efficiency was also a key design focus. The crane features an optimized boom disassembly design that maintains lifting capacity while complying with European road regulations. The new superlift counterweight strut allows integrated transport and rapid installation, significantly reducing on-site assembly time. Additionally, the dual-separation structure lowers single-component transport weight, better suiting European logistics conditions.

A Milestone for Chinese Manufacturing in High-End Markets

At the delivery ceremony, Xie Tao, Chairman of SANY Heavy Industry’s Lifting Division, stated: “The successful delivery of the SCC10000T is an important milestone in the mutual trust and win-win partnership between SANY and BMS. Moving forward, both parties will continue to deepen their strategic cooperation, jointly expanding into the European market and exploring new opportunities in global wind power and engineering lifting.”

This delivery represents more than a single transaction—it signals the growing acceptance of Chinese heavy equipment in the world‘s most demanding markets. As SANY continues to invest in R&D and customer-driven innovation, the company is well-positioned to serve high-value sectors including renewable energy infrastructure across Europe and beyond.
